blah, blah, blah

I'm not too sure why I decided to join this blog thing. Who am I writing this stuff for anyway? And do I really have anything of value to say? Funny thing is, I'm really enjoying it. I look forward to it-am I sick or what? Why is that anyway? Maybe it's just a way to get stuff off my mind-not that my mind is too full of much besides jello these days. Maybe it's just a way to...I don't know get in some me time. (you'd think I'd go get a manicure or something-then again with the twins-it's kind of hard to get away). At least I'm not usually stuffing my face while I'm blogging-that's got to be good. Ever since my third trimester last year, I've been consuming inordinate amounts of chocolate and cookies. I haven't gained back all my pregnancy weight yet, but the scales are definitely inching up. So, I'm resolving to regain control of my out of control habits. Hopefully in the process I can set a good example for my sweet children, seriously they need to eat something more than chicken nuggets, ramen noodles and mac n cheese. I need to take up some physical activity as well. We're cleaning out the garage tomorrow. Hopefully we can make enough room to set up our glider and I can feel guilty about not making it out there to exercise on it every day LOL. Well, it's late again, guess I should head for bed.

Wannabe

I should totally be cleaning the house right now. The boys are both napping at the same time. Actually, I should be out weeding the yard. We got a notice from the homeowners association about the weeds on the side of the house yesterday. It's funny that I hadn't really noticed them-they are getting out of control. (sigh) I just don't feel like working I guess. Or maybe I just know i'll just get started and the little guys will wake up. Jason, who used to be the long napper, now only sleeps for about a half hour and Justin has become the long napper. I think they like to keep me on my toes-so they're always switching things up.See, Jason just woke up-30 minutes-that's all he slept for. Ahh but he gives the best hugs.Do you suppose Heavenly Father made babies so cute so that their parents don't just get rid of them? I'd probably be in jail if my kids weren't so cute.Justin totally crawled today. They've both been getting up on their hands and knees, and kind of propelling themselves forward, or just skooching to get where they want to go, but today Justin took 3 little not really steps, but steps with his knees. I'm in big trouble now. I'd better get this place baby-proofed asap. Jason has discovered his tongue again. It's always sticking out. I think he thinks he's the lead singer of KISS or something. He's also always rocking on his bum. When he's sitting on the floor, he just starts kind of bouncing. Sooo cute-but really, I think he already wants to be a rock star. Not quite the direction I'm hoping he'll take in life. :>)Well, I'd better see about getting myself ready for work. I definitely need a shower.

Visiting Teaching

I am the worst visiting teacher on the planet. Haven't done it for like, a year! My sweet VT companion apologizes to me all the time for not coordinating it--like it's all her fault. Like, I can't get off my keester and put forth some effort. Well, this month I went out and bought these cute little easter pails to fill up with goodies. They're still sitting on my counter-all assembled, but not yet distributed. I still need to call my comp. and see when she can go, and then call our sisters and see when would be good for them. Here it is the 26th of the month already, Easter has passed, and I'm just too lazy to do what I need to do. I'll end up doing one of those drive-by's we all hear about. At least that would be something. Hopefully I'll get on the ball tomorrow, and at least call my companion. We'll see....
We walked to the park today. It was gorgeous out. We had a little picnic lunch, and the girls played for a bit. I think tomorrow I'll pull out the craft projects. Ashley is pretty artistic-so I need to find something she'll enjoy doing. Haley just likes to do whatever Ashley is doing-typical little sister I guess.
Ashley is such a good big sister. Haley is asleep on the couch right now, and Ashley is trying to wake her up and get her into her bed. I'm afraid she might try to pick her up-Haley probably weighs as much as Ashley does, so it should be interesting to see how this turns out. O.K. now she's poking Haley in the face, I guess I should say that sometimes she's a terrific sister.
They drive me crazy with their fighting sometimes, but whenever I've had enough and start yelling, it's sweet how they turn to each other for comfort.
Well, it's 10:00, and I'm actually going to try to go to bed at a reasonable hour tonight.

no title, just rambling.

Boy, does the time get away from me. I need to figure out how to add my blog to the relief society blog page. I'll probably be giving Sister B. a call.
Well, my girls are on track break this week. They don't go back to school until the 7th of April. So, I promised them we'd do fun stuff while they were on break. We've gone to the park, the zoo, Elthel M Chocolate Factory so far. We hit the mall for a few minutes after the chocolate factory-but didn't have much time to walk around before we had to go. It's a little hard with the babies. Inevitably one or the other ends up fussing most of the time.
We need to go to the park again, at least a few more times. Kids just love the park. I also need to pull out the craft projects I suppose.
I'm watching PrimeTime tonight- and it's about "what would you do" in certain situations. They showed an overweight woman being harrassed by 3 young skinny girls. For the most part, everyone around her just let it go on. I'd say that less than a dozen people stopped, or attempted to stop the harrassment from happening. I think that's so sad. I was so proud of the few people who spoke up. I can only hope that I would be the type of person who would not let that kind of behavior continue. Well, I must go rest my weary head . I really need to learn to go to bed earlier. The babies go down around 7:00, and wake up between 3:30 and 6:30 usually. Most of the time I head for bed around 11:00, so I'm still just getting 4-6 hours of sleep, which is my own fault for going to bed so late. I really need to work on a 10:00 bedtime. Early to bed, early to rise.... .

My First Blog

O.K. so, I thought I'd give this blog thing a try. I'm not sure that I have anything to say that needs to be out there for the whole world to dissect, but I do think it's a cool way to kind of keep a journal. Maybe this is how I'll finally get around to scrapbooking. I've got a drawer full of supplies, but I haven't done anything with it. So, this is my virtual scrapbook.
