Nothing like my parents' house that they've had for 40 years. I also love to walk around at dusk and be able to see in people's houses before they close their blinds....do you ever do that? We had an OK backyard, but, I could see my neighbors backyard (and pool) from my bedroom--I always felt like a spy. And not in a cool James Bond kind of way.

In any event, house hunting is fun and those are some lovely homes! The Shabby Princesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08572623388995262210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4965609646254074994.post-24403888874182085872008-09-04T14:45:00.000-07:002008-09-04T14:45:00.000-07:00That is why we moved out of the city so we wouldn'...That is why we moved out of the city so we wouldn't have our neighbors watching us eat dinner through the windows! We bought the house we live in 4 years ago...It is big and has big windows and on each side our neighbors houses are close - The reason we bought it though is because it had a green belt in the front of the house and a green belt in the back of the house! So if you look out front or back you don't see anybody else-Just beautiful ferns and trees.
We just keep our side blinds closed. Which is sad. This is one of the reasons we are looking for a house in the country! I'm sure there will be downfalls to living in the country too (like having pizza delivered)!!!!
Take Care,
Robin~♥Robin Beckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16685571932261140657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4965609646254074994.post-16964898591136710392008-09-04T11:32:00.000-07:002008-09-04T11:32:00.000-07:00I'm with you there! Where we live, they have to be at least 5 feet from the property line, so the homes are just 10 feet apart in many places. Crazy! We bought a corner home, so it's a bit crowded in the front, but our back yard is big and we have plenty of space!Diannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09517246579704472278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4965609646254074994.post-81024915296750473112008-09-04T11:19:00.000-07:002008-09-04T11:19:00.000-07:00My hubby's cousin recently built a new home in Hen...My hubby's cousin recently built a new home in Henderson, and it's gorgeous. But I do see what you're saying. The homes are very close together.
Not much different than here, though. Some of the homes up on the hill, are gargantuan, and build and teeny tiny lots.
Me...I wish I had a farm, and a farmer to farm it, cuz my guy doesn't do manual labor.
Ok, there is your long comment of the day!
Ta DA!Sherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03380959865544480160noreply@blogger.com
