What's doing

Ok, seriously I have way too many blogs on my google reader!! I just spent the last three hours reading and commenting on them, and there weren't even posts on all of 'em!! But, really I can't eliminate any of them, because I love all of you guys!! So, what to do? (I'll ponder on that for a week or two).
Thought I'd post some of our happenings from the last couple of days.
Yesterday, Jon took the day off from work, since the girls were out of school anyway. They were going to go fishing, but it was too windy.
So instead, we went to Gilcrease Orchard. It's a little late in the season to pick anything good, but we did get some green tomatoes and a gigantic zucchini. We also got a gallon of their delicious apple cider.
After that, we went anyway to Floyd Lamb State Park, where Jon would have taken the girls fishing. We walked around and visited the sites they have there. It really was kind of intersting. I had no idea about it's history.

They offer pony rides and carriage rides, which we didn't take advantage of yesterday. But we did visit the horsies.....

Such beautiful creatures. We all decided that in our next home, we want plenty of space to have some horses.

Jason really liked the horsies.

Justin loves his daddy!!
This guy was kind of mean to the other horses. He wanted all our attention for himself. He was gorgeous though.

It really was a lovely way to spend the day.
This evening, we got to go out to eat at a new casino that's going to be opening up next week--Aliante Station. Jon works with someone who is married to one of the employees. We got dinner at the buffet for free. I guess it's kind of a trial run for the employees to wait on us and practice their skills. It was pretty good. I thought it was awesome I didn't have to make supper.
Lastly, since it's November, I want to mention every time I post, something I'm grateful for. So today, I'm grateful for my hubby, who is so kind, thoughtful, giving, loving--really loving. He loves me so much--and sometimes I wonder why. I'm grateful that he's conscientous. I'm grateful that he can be spontaneous, even though he usually likes to have things all planned and mapped out. He really is terrific.
Hope you have a great Thursday!!

so cute and such fun! Mikki, this is what I have decided to do because I said I would follow those that follow me. HOWEVER,
I have come to the conclusion that I am sticking with my original blog friends from the beginning. I am putting them on my reader and main page all those who comment to me and we have a "thing" going.

I want a connection. If people just want to read me occassionally that is fine but I'm not an occassional reader. I read faithfully those who comment back.
I figure it's only fair. So those who rarely leave a comment back to me, I'm going to stop commenting on their posts because it's a ONE way street and in a ONE way street in a relationship. I know what to do and I know what I have to do in blogland as well.

Fun times! I love all the pics. And free dinner - can't beat that!

I am having the same time with my reader. I don't want to miss anyone or anything, but seriously can my butt get any bigger while I sit here?

I'm so allergic to horses, but they are so adorable! Looks like you had a great time! And thanks for always visiting and commenting on my blog!

Free buffet! You should definitely be grateful for that!

And I remove people from my Reader all the time. Blech.

Thanks for your comment on my blog about the loss of my dog. Very nice of you to leave such a nice comment, plus it gives me the chance to see your cute family. Your kids are really cute.

I also see that you blog back and forth with Merrianne Call. Could you please contact her and ask her to contact me (lori@hendricksonlaw.net) and let me know what her new blog site is and how I can view it. I've been trying for the last couple of weeks and I can't get on to her blog. Thanks so much

I know! Sometimes reading all these blogs can be so overwhelming! But I just can't live without feeling like I'm somehow a part of all these people's lives.
These are cute pics, and looks like a fun day.
I love their matching football shirts!

What a fun night.
I have too many blogs I follow too. But I won't give them up either. I just weeks that I don't get to all of them every day. And I have been able to whittle away a couple of them over the last year.
Good luck.
I love the idea of posting something you are thankful for. Do you mind if I steal it?
*hugs*

I loves me some horses, and I really love having dinner without cooking :-)

Keeping up with the reader is a full-time job, isn't it? To tell the truth, I'm sorry google came up with the follow me thing, because where I could walk away from the computer before, I can't now because I can see a tiny bit of what I'll miss!

That sounds like so much fun. I've heard about Gilcrease, but have never been. We're definitely gonna have to take the kids there sometime. I thimk they'd get a kick out of being able to pick stuff.
