So, I'm still experiencing peppermint addiction.
I thought I'd beat this little problem for the year back in February.....but, I guess not. My cravings have returned with a vengeance. You know, you ought to try my Double P diet...Peppermint and Pepsi. I think I've actually lost two pounds in the past six months consuming nothing but those two items.
Hmmm, I wonder if you can get an ulcer from eating too much peppermint? I think it's starting to give me heartburn.
Perhaps I'm just turning into peppermit candy......

What's still lurking around your place?
Hope you all have a great weekend and a spooky Halloween!!

Satan, get thee hence!!!

That nasty little devil is working on me tonight.

I look through some other people's blogs, including some from my ward--and I see such wonderful, truly wonderful people. People living right. Doing what they should be doing. And I start to get down on myself. I start to feel neglected and blue. Then I realize who's really playing games in my head. That old adversary is so sneaky and mean. There's only one thing to do...... "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God." D&C 18:10

Pondering Halloween

So, this was on TV the other day....
(photos courtesy of Yahoo Images)
My oh my, Han Solo really was dreamy wasn't he? Love the tall, dark and handsome, strong silent type.
So it occurred to me while watching, that I had the perfect Han Solo right at my fingertips...

Love those dark, wavy locks. I canNOT bring myself to cut them.
And now, it's definitely going to have to wait til after Halloween, because I think my little guys will make the perfect Han Solo ..... and Luke Skywalker. What do ya' think?
And if I don't stop gaining weight, I could easily turn myself into Jabba the Hut!

Ok, I went back and checked.....and it's been over six weeks since I hit my dang funny bone.
And the tip of my finger is STILL NUMB!!!
And it's been like, what....ten months???
My Christmas village is STILL UP!!!!!
I won't even go into the post-pregnancy weight that's still there.
Anything still lurking around your place?

Post Birthday post

So, here are some of Ashley's party hi-lites. Wizard's Brew

Ghoulish hors d'oeuvres included rat droppings(cheese), eyeball of newt (grapes) and lizard tongues(sliced carrots). I never did think of anything to call the olives. Oh well.

mmmmmMummy toes!

Bat wings. These were REALLY lousy.
Remind me next time to just order them from someplace.

These are supposed to look like owls. I think they came out a little more like cats.
They didn't taste too good either. Probably would have been better warm.

Potion mixing

Ashley wanted a cookie cake this year. So, we tried a spider web-ish one.

Big fun!!

Haley won the search for the Sorceror's stone.

Lots of game playing in between--which of course, I forgot to take pictures of.
I also forgot to snap some good shots of all the girls costumes. Duh!
They were pretty cute though.
Bye everyone! Thanks for coming!

Now if one of those cute little wizards could make the mess magically disappear!

A-a-and party #2

So, Ashley's birthday is on the 18th of October, and Uncle Brad's (Jon's brother) birthday is tomorrow, the 19th. We usually end up doing something together.

Sweet little get toghether at Uncle Brad and Aunt Laura's this afternoon.
I just loved these shots.....

Not too sure what the convo included here.......

But it turns out.......

Uncle Brad needed help with all those candles!

Happy Birthday to Ashley

My Ashley turns eleven today! I can't believe it.
