Holy cow! Has it been two years already?

Well, first of all Happy St. Patricks Day everybody!

I can't believe that two years ago, I entered the blogosphere.
Here are my famous (or not) first bloggy words.......
~~~~~~
My First Blog
O.K. so, I thought I'd give this blog thing a try. I'm not sure that I have anything to say that needs to be out there for the whole world to dissect, but I do think it's a cool way to kind of keep a journal. Maybe this is how I'll finally get around to scrapbooking. I've got a drawer full of supplies, but I haven't done anything with it. So, this is my virtual scrapbook.
~~~~~~

Funny, looks like I found plenty of things to ramble about--although I've slowed down considerably here lately. My drawer is still full of unused scrapbook supplies too.

Well, if you've read me for very long you know I like to do a giveaway for my blogoversary.
So in keeping with that tradition I'd like to announce my second annual Blogoversary giveaway!!!! (cue the trumpets)

So, what am I giving away? Hmmm, I don't know yet. I just decided to do this ten minutes ago when I realized what the date was.
Maybe I'll get creative with the sewing machine. Or perhaps I'll hit Target and the Dollar store and pick out some of my faves, like I usually do. We'll see.

What do you have to do????

Just leave a comment. Don't post about it on your own blogs, I think I owe it to me true bloggy friends (and that includes anyone who likes to read but not comment) to contain this giveaway to just them, no interlopers this time!
Comment as much as you like, each comment is worth an entry. But, you know--make those comments juicy!

I think I'll give ya' a week.
Contest ends next Wednesday at midnight!

Happy Blogoversary!

I had to drop by to day, I was thinking about you when I was diving children to school. I have not been juggling my busy routine so well as of late. Blogging has taken a back burner over the last few months.

Well, you could give away scrapbook supplies and then you'd have an empty drawer! I've enjoyed your blog and seeing your sweet children grow up! Happy Blogoversary!

Congratulations on 2 years!
I rolled over 2 years in January, but I still haven't quite crawled out of my blog funk yet. Someday...

So, would you be interested in me donating a CD for your giveaway? (I need all the publicity I can get).

Caramel Corn

6-8 quarts popped popcorn

2 cups brown sugar

2 sticks butter or margarine

1/2 white corn syrup

Put all ingredients except popcorn in a heavy saucepan. When it begins to boil, cook for 5 minutes (stirring constantly). Pour over popcorn. Stir to coat. Spread popcorn on large cookie sheet. Bake at 225-250 F for 45 minutes. While it is still hot, spread out over cookie sheet. Cool completely. Break into clumps. Store in airtight container.

I also have a songbook (with sheet music) if you're interested.

p.s. does this count as two entries?

p.p.s If I win, you can give the CD and songbook to someone else. If that wasn't obvious.

Cherry Delight
This is one of my mama's recipe's.
It's cool and rich and very easy to make.

1 - 20 oz. can Cherry pie Filling
1 can Eagle Brand Milk
1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 cup sour cream
1 cup chopped pecans
1 med. cool whip.
With hand mixer, mix first 4 ingredients. Fold in nuts and cool whip. Refrigerate until really cold and set. Yummy. I meant to tell yall that you can also use the "light" version of all these products and it taste the same to me and will save you probably half the calories!

Have you seen Vampire Diaries? Me loves.

imbeingheldhostage said...

Do you know that if you are really careful, you can fit a whole bag of Recees's pieces in your mouth at once? Not that I've ever tried.

imbeingheldhostage said...

Recee's Peanut Butter cups were created in 1928 and the world is better for it.

imbeingheldhostage said...

I have a three year old being completely neglected while I sit here commenting. Sorry, when it comes to chocolate I have no shame...

I hope she's not painting the sofa or plugging up the toilet with laundry.
