Joining the ranks

Today I got....
canned
fired
laid off
terminated
the pink slip

I have mixed emotions.
They say whenever God closes a door, somewhere He opens a window.
I believe that's true, so I'm sure there's something else out there for me.
I'm thrilled at the prospect of a few weeks off.
I can be a stay at home mommy for a little bit.
:)
However, there won't be a paycheck involved in that.
:(

I've been a little bored at work, so maybe I'll find something I REALLY like to do.
Wish me luck!
Oh, and pray!
:)

Awww Mikki! I am so sorry! You are right, the Lord knows you and your needs. You might find that this is the best thing ever!

I'll be thinking of you and you are most definitely in my prayers.

Oh no I'm sorry Mikki. It's so hard how many people in this city are part of these ranks. I hope you find something you love soon! We will be praying.

Awww Mikki - I'm so sorry. That is a bummer. I don't know where you worked but the bad economy seems to hit everything!

I like your attitude though.

Dang Mikki! I'm so sorry. I've been there. I know it's a blow to your ego and self-esteem, especially when you felt like you've always done a good job. Heavenly Father does know your needs, just have faith that it will all work out in time. Maybe this is the push you need to get you on another path.

THis is what happens when you dedicate the year to the Lord--He goes and takes control and you have to exercise that thing called faith. What is up with that???!!

Wow Mikki, I'm so sorry. I know things will work out how they are supposed to be. We'll keep your family in our prayers. Enjoy the time off with your little monkeys.
