I love my hubby, but...

OK, no buts. I really do love my hubby. He's the best. HE's always game when I want to re-arrange the furniture, or switch the kids' rooms around.
Which, is what I want to do. The boys have the front most room in the house, the girls have the back. So I want to swap them around. The boys would be better in the back, away from all the noise and commotion, especially at bedtime.
So here's the problem....
When Jon put the girls' bed together, he glued them. So, now, they can't be taken apart-at.all.
And of course, they're just a smidge too big to get through the door.

So, I managed to get half of one through the door, but I cannot get the other half through.
So much for tackling this little project by myself today. I think if I could get the door off the hinge, I could just make it. We'll see how enterprising I am. Wish me luck!

Deja Vu?

Well, when Jon saw my post from yesterday, his comment was "Couldn't you have at least made the bed first?" haha! My response was that I just wanted to climb back in it at the time, so why bother making it.
So really, this post is for Jon. There you go honey. It's all made up good and proper. Doesn't change the fact that the walls need painting, and there are dirty clothes in a pile at the foot of the bed, or that there's a pile or two of stuff I need to deal with off to the side. It really does make the whole room feel better though, when the bed's made. Now, maybe I'll tackle all that other stuff. :o)

when all else fails

This is calling to me today. I had to get out of here, probably six times during the night. :o(

Jason was teething last week--little cranky pants for the whole week. I thought we were finally done with it, he was sleeping better for a couple days, and wasn't nearly as crabby. But last night, he was up every couple hours for some reason. I really don't think it's still the tooth.

All I can say is thank goodness for this....
Chocolate from France. Got these sweet treats in the mail last week. Thanks G !! I'll really try to be good and not eat it all today. I'm trying to save the purple box for truly special occasions. But the other one, well it might be gone in the next hour or so.

Remember the Sabbath, to always keep it holy

Well, since I always do such a GREAT job
at keeping the Sabbath holy,
and in keeping with my long standing tradition
of only posting
uplifting and spiritual thoughts on Sunday,
I present you with this little question.......
~~~
~~~
~~~
How should I decorate my daughter's birthday cake?
her party theme is
"girls just wanna have fun"
we're doing makeovers, a talent show and watching a
tweenie flick.
PS Hey! You're welcome! I'm always glad to contribute to your spiritual edification!!!
My boys are taking the 100 push-up challenge!!
I was doing my push-ups this afternoon, and got a little help from my guys!
What's goin' on
Just posting some pictures from the past week or so.
They're gettting pretty good at climbing. They climbed on the park bench, they can get themselves down too. Makes me nervous while they're up there though. Even better than a horsie!!
ying and yang?
ahhhh, texture....
A little more brotherly love.
Haley! Did you lay that egg? Well, just gearing up for another weekend. Of course, I have to work. Hopefully I can get the house tidied up today. Why I bother I don't know, come Monday morning it'll look like a train wreck anyway. Ashley turns ten next Saturday!! I can't believe it's been a decade already!! Where does the time go? So, I'll work out the rest of her party details this week. She' having about six friends over. We'll be doing make-overs, she wants to have a talent show, and I'll rent one of those popular tween movies for them to watch. Probably Camp Rock, or HSM, or Hannah Montana. So far, it's looking like Camp Rock is the must see. I just need to work out inexpensive decorations-any ideas? Maybe Christmas lights....
I also need to go through pictures so I can do a special birthday post for my sweet girl. So, watch out, that'll probably be another one of those lo-o-o-ng birthday posts.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend!
WordFUL Wednesday
OK, since someone keeps telling me how hard it is to have a wordLESS Wednesday, I'll try the wordful version.
(can you see that they're hugging each other in this picture?
I wish I could have gotten a closer up of it)
Well, I just had to post one of my little guys loving on each other, especially after the "Toddler Smackdown" post from last week. We were at the park Tuesday morning, and Jason went for a little walk away from us. So I called to him and started walking over to get him. Sweet little Justin headed over as well. They both started walking towards each other, and I could just see the hug coming. It was so cute!
Sure do love these little guys!
Need a clone to take care of all my "wifely duties" for those days (which means every day of the week) when I'm to tired to take care of business.
~~
Need a clone to go to work for me four days a week. Must be friendly, knowledgable, considerate, computer literate, awake, have ability to endure boring situations.
~~
(then I just have to decide what to do with myself first!)
Sunday night and I should be in bed
I am so grateful for the internet!
I've been grumbling all weekend about the fact that I had to work both Saturday and Sunday and had to miss General Conference. In fact, I have to work on Sunday for the next 6 weeks or so. I'm not particularly happy about this. But, we're short a person at work, and my boss needs two days off. Since I'm the only other person available to cover for her, and weekends are the only times I can work days-well, doesn't leave any other options. :o(
Anywho, back to the subject.
I'm so grateful to the internet, and especially for LDS.org, It's so nice to be able to go there and catch what I missed. I love being able to see our sweet President Monson speak to us...
I love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I could just listen to them forever.
taking notes....
~~~~~~~~

I love this dish. Mmmm mmmm good.
Panzanella.
The recipe is in my recipe box if you want to try it.
It calls for champagne vinegar, which we didn't have on hand,

so, we used white wine vinegar instead. Tasted great. Here's the thing, I thought, and correct me if I'm wrong, that all the alcohol would be cooked out of the vinegar. Is it? Cause I got to tell you, I got pretty loopy after supper tonight. We've had this before and used either the champagne vinegar or white wine vinegar and it's never done that before, so maybe something else is screwy with me? I'm still feeling a bit dizzy and it's been a few hours. So, maybe my blood sugar is low or something.

~~~~~~~
I have officially joined the Healthy Divas!! I've been wanting to join forever, but have been putting it off, because, well, I'm a procrastinator for starters, and because I hate committing to something knowing I'll probably fall off the wagon. But, I just decided to do it. I've been making more of an effort lately to get a little more exercise so I've really already sort of begun. Now I'm just committing to stick to it, and to try making better food choices.
I also need to pick back up with the 100 push-up challenge. Only this time, I'll be doing the modified version. None of those manly man push-ups for me. I think that's why I stopped doing it after week #2, too hard. I'm pretty sure I can do a hundred modified push-ups in six weeks.
Well, enough for now. Off to bed for me, maybe.
Hope everyone has a great week!
Scrolling Saturday---Eeewwwww!
Scrolling Saturday is a way to introduce older posts that flew under the radar -- you know, posts you wrote when only your mother was reading your blog.Brought to you by:
Manners and Moxie and Rock and Drool...Mom Gone Mental
(looks like I'm getting it in just under the gun here too!)
Ok, so I found this great idea of "scrolling saturdays" off of Imbeingheldhostage's blog.
I'm not too sure how to repost an old post. I know I just adjust the date on post options, but will it remove it from it's original position? Since I don't know, I'll just put the link to it here, so you can go check it out. Be warned though, if you've got a queasy tummy, you might want to skip it.
Happy Birthday Dad!!
Flashback Friday
Thought I'd just take the opportunity to flash back to past Halloween's .
Ashley's second Halloween. Her first one, she was only a couple weeks old, so of course we didn't do anything. She's the cute little pumpkin. My niece Raven, is teh adorable witchy-poo. I'm not sure what I was supposed to be, I just threw something on and tried to rat my hair a bit. And, Jon was some strange deathly thing.
Ashley as Bubbles, from the Power Puff Girls, she was three for this one. I was preggers with Haley and Jon and I didn't dress up. I'm not sure what we did the year before. I think we must have skipped it.
I can't find the rest of our pictures. I think they all must have been on the disk with like 1200 pictures on it, that got erased by sitting on top of our computer hard drive. :o( Anyway, this is Ashley as a vampire, and Haley as a cute witch. Year before last. Ashley as the devil, and Haley as Superman. That black hair paint was a pain in the butt to wash out of the bathtub.
And, last year. Jon was the grim reaper, Ashley was Vamptella (or some such name), Haley was (obviously) dark Spiderman, I was the Cat in the Hat, and Jason was Thing 1, Justin--Thing 2.
Six Quirky Things
I got tagged by Leslie, to do these six quirky things.
I'm sure I have way more than six, but I'll try to contain myself.
Here goes:
1. When I do the dishes, there's a total soap opera going on in my head about the silverware. The knives are the male figures and the spoons and forks are female. I don't particularly care for the forks, I consider them to be the trampy type I guess. I NEVER put the forks next to the knives, unless it's the sharp knives (the more rough and tumble sort of male). The spoons, who are the sweet, delicate ladies always go next to the butter knives who are true gentlemen of course.
2. When I'm bored, I scratch my scalp, and then dig the dried up shampoo, dandruff, ?-whatever that residue is in there, out of my fingernails.
3. I have to sleep with the blankets pulled all the way up to my shoulders-whether I'm cold or hot--I just feel safer this way.
4. Whenever I suck on an Altoid peppermint, I sneeze.
5. I cannot actually "suck" on any hard candy for more than 5 seconds. I always end up chewing it.
6. Wow, I'm at six already?---- I have totally had dreams lately about some of the people out there in blogland.
Well, that's it.
Now, I'm supposed to tag someone else I suppose. I think this one has pretty much made it's rounds though. But, just for fun, I tag.....LaDawn and Richelle.
Are you ready to RRRRRRumble?
Nothin like a little toddler smackdown....
