Memorial Day Recap

So, for Memorial Day we went to a local park/fishing hole and had a little family picnic. The girls didn't catch anything, but they had fun trying.

Lots of geese out and about, and quite a few of their babies.

Time for lunch, hot dogs on the menu.

Sharing our lunch. Ok, this was probably a mistake, after we had fed one, of course a whole gaggle of geese descended upon us looking for their lunch.

After lunch, we went to check out the critters.

Isn't she sweet? She was born on Saturday, which made her two days old on Monday.

The kids couldn't get enough of the horses, and other farm animals.

This is Jason chasing the geese. As I mentioned before, there were quite a few baby geese (goslings?), and some protective mamas and papas. We didn't catch any of the really great footage, where Jason would approach one of these little family's, needless to say, he was chased away a few times.

Looks like a really fun day!

I love all the geese in the picture above. They can be mean little suckers but they are so beautiful :D

Your son looks like he was having a blast making the mama geese nervous - ha ha such a boy thing! Love it!

I just love fun family days like this. Animals of any kind seem to entertain our girls. They would have loved trying to catch the geese too.
