Random Friday

I've sort of been off my game this week. If what I usually do is considered game anyway. My buddy Merrianne, has been taking a well deserved blogging break, and I think it's given me the blogging blues!
~~~~
I read a fantastic post over here. And it really made me think about how I should be grateful that my kids are as stubborn, and strong willed as they are. These are Saturdays Warriors, and they are going to have to be strong.
~~~~
I got my temple recommend this week--finally!! And I have to admit, that if things had been left up to me, I'd probably still be without it. I have to give the credit to my bishop for calling me in and giving me the little push I needed to get this done. Kind of makes me think that my Heavenly Father is watching out for me--the way things are going lately, I think maybe I'm going to really be needing the blessings that come from this.
~~~~
Man, when I woke up yesterday morning, I had hoped to be able to squeeze a prayer in before all the kids got up. That thought ended with the sound of something crashing in the babies' room. I run in there, and they had knocked over their toy bins. No harm done thank goodness, but I was also met with the distinct odor of dirty diapers. I look into Jason's crib, and there's poo everywhere. No sooner do I get him hosed down and changed than I realize Justin is also covered in poo. Talk about double-teaming me!
~~~~
Have you read about Prop 8 in California, and of equal importance, Prop 102 in Arizona? Here are some links to some pertinent information. Please check them out, even if you don't live there, this could affect all of us in the near future.
~~~~
Last but not least. What do you think? Should I go red?
I had way too much fun with this wig and the camera.
Justin didn't quite know what to think. He just kept smiling at me like I was some kind of nut. Well, he's probably right about that.
Happy Friday!!
I miss Merrianne tooooooooooo!~♥~
Red? It looks good but what a hassle to keep up! Ask my daughter she has tried EVERY color in the book and they all looked amazing on her but the roots started showing not soon after and the upkeep is a pain!
Have a great weekend Mikki,
Robin~♥
Oh my gosh, your little ones are so cute!! I love them!!
I'm originally from California and Prop 8 is dang near pulling that state to pieces. My family has been out campaigning and a young lady from my old ward was actually assaulted while campaigning--she was pretty shaken up. It's been really hard. California is a big state and Nancy Pelosi is from CA--California has a large number of reps in the house and carries electoral weight. Even if we aren't in California or Arizona this has the ability to impact the entire country.... Ok, off my soapbox now.
Heck yes for the temple rec! I'm so thrilled for you!
You make a good red-head. I miss Merrianne too!
I am so feeling for you with the double team thing. I know what it's like to wake up to one covered in poo, I think I'd have cried if it was two.
Proposition 8 is on the ballats in Utah too.
*hugs*
I love you in red! I think you should do it just that bright red color, too.
I don't miss the poopy diaper stage AT ALL. Although, I've been wondering, because my 5 yr old's room stinks sooooo bad, I'm starting to wonder if he's been peeing under his bed or something.
YUCK!! I need to fumigate.
