blog or bust

OK, so I've got total bloggers block. I don't know what to post about. I suppose, if I were truly intelligent then I would just get my behind to bed instead of wasting time writing fluff and nonsense. I know hubby wants me in bed right now, he's been hinting at it all week. Poor guy--totally neglected. Why is it that the year after I give birth to a baby, I just lose all interest in anything else. It's like I'm in love with the baby, which I suppose I am, but poor hubby gets pushed to the side. And yes, the boys are fourteen months old now, so my year is over. But, that's not necessarily a hard and fast number.
I'm trying (and by trying I mean, not really trying very hard) to wean these two little tykes. They're just not going for it. They won't drink regular milk. So how do I wean them???

The poor Dad's.

Love the line:
It's like I'm in love with the baby...

So true. Then they turn about 7, and it goes downhill fast! Ha.

I remember trying to wean my babies...and I think it was harder on me than the baby! "Engorged" and full of hormones...we'd all cry together-me, my baby and my husband...who missed me too! But when those teeth grew-in...that was the red flag for me :) Cold turkey!
*I'd switch to formula or rice milk.

Two babies count for 24 months so you're far from being due. Just tell hubby this so he hates me without even meeting me.

So, not only do they mess with your sleep and your nerves but human larvas also mess with your intimate life? Forget about babies! I'll stick with guinea pigs.

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN MIKKI,

SOMETIMES I HAVE BLOGGER BRAIN BLOCK. :p

AND

ABOUT WEENING YOUR BABIES....

WELL.... I DON'T KNOW. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.

OR YOU COULD EAT A LOT OF ONIONS AND GARLIC SO YOUR MILK TASTES FUNNY AND THEN OFFER THEM REGULAR MILK......

THEY MIGHT GO FOR THE REGULAR MILK THEN!!!

Hey Merrianne, maybe I'll try that one. Good idea!
Backandthen, I lauged out lout at your last paragraph. Yeah, my hubby will really love hearing he's got another 10 months of being ignored.
Dolly, is ricemilk sweet? I've never tried it. They're not too interested in their formula anymore either.
Goodncrazy, it's sad huh'? the older they get, it seems like the less cutesy they become.

I know what you mean. Every morning I get up and think I'm done blogging, there's nothing more to say, and I waste way too much time following everyone's blogs. And then I'm back.

I know what you mean about your hubby coming in last place. My baby is seven and i still favor him over my hubby.

Are you Serious! You are still nursing your twins? You are super duper super MOm, I'm so impressed!
I only nursed my babies for 6-7 months, and they just decided when they were done.
I've heard that chocolate makes your milk taste bitter, so maybe just binge on chocolate.
I've also heard that it can be an aphrodisiac, so maybe that will help in the bedroom, too.
I don't have that problem. I just can't get enough!

Sher--Score!! I'll definitely start consuming inordinate amounts of chocolate--who knew I could kill two birds with this stone?

You totally get two years for twins.

I had to wean Red Chief to formula at 7 months because of some health problems I was having. He had never, ever taken a bottle. I asked the doctor because I was worried, and the doctor just told me that he would get hungry. He did.

I did find that he was really picky about temperature, though. Is there something your babies are trying to tell you?

Other than that, I'd just say get it over with because the older they get, the more stubborn and the more they'll remember.

Good luck with the weening. My only experience with that went pretty smooth. My son didn't mind formula or milk, so I weened him gradually to formula and then switched over to milk once he turned 1. Do they use a sippy or a bottle? Maybe if they have only been using bottles, the sippy would be something different that would go with the different taste of the milk? Just an idea.

Hot chocolate is also good for your health. I am talking about the good and real stuff not some crapy "just pour hot water" thing. It has 5 times more "anti oxydants" than tea which helps keep young and prevent cancer.
Want a box of real good one?

Mikki, I am still weaning my almost 15 month old and I so want to be done! She won't give it up. I know I need to buckle down and just stop, let her go hungry until she drinks from the cup etc but then I am all uncomfortable, engorged etc and go crazy because she is screaming, crying and crawling all over me trying to rip my shirt open.
Good luck with weaning your two!
